Your Barloworld Power dealer is equipped to help you figure out which repair option would give you the exact value you're looking for.

There are four factors that should be considered before deciding on a repair option. Length of ownership, Utilization, Affordability, and Turnaround time. Think of each of these as a continuum. Where you are along the continuum will have a direct impact on the repair option you choose. Once you’ve made contact, your Barloworld Power dealer will walk you through these factors and help you determine your best solution.

4 FACTORS THAT CAN HELP YOU DECIDE ON A REPAIR OPTION:

LENGTH OF OWNERSHIP The age of your equipment is the largest single determinant of market value. If you are closer to selling/ replacing the equipment the less likely you are to make a large repair investment since you won’t have time to recoup the investment. On the other hand, if you decide to keep the equipment for the long haul, we have repair options that will set the clock back to zero. Ensuring your equipment goes beyond a lifetime.
UTILISATION Machines that are primary production machines have two priorities. The first is minimiaing any downtime. Repairs need to be completed quickly because the cost of downtime is high. Second, you want them to be highly durable and reliable because they are the machines you work the hardest. This is why we want the strongest and longest-lasting replacement components to avoid a repeat repair. On the flip side, if it is a utility machine, components don’t work as long or as hard. Because a utility machine works fewer hours, downtime costs less. You may be able to afford more time in the shop and choose a more economical option.
AFFORDABILITY Since cash flow is fluid a repair option that wasn’t right last time might be the ideal solution this time. CAT® parts have a 12-month warranty which should also be considered in terms of affordability.
TURNAROUND TIME How important is the turnaround time for your specific machine? If production can’t continue without the machine you’ll need a faster turnaround time. If the fastest turnaround time isn’t something you can afford do you have a backup machine? Is renting a machine from the Barloworld Equipment rental fleet an option? If production can continue you may be able to choose a different repair option that takes more time but comes in at a lower price point.

With such a wide range of options based on your exact situation and critical requirements, it just makes sense that the best chance you have to find the right repair option is at your closest Barloworld Power dealer.
